Can you go through your life like this?

I'm vietnamese and I guess men in my culture are such in a rush to get married without even getting to know the person, its not even them being in love. It's just more of a partnership in life. Just needing someone just because they need a wife or a husband and don't want to be alone.


I'm definitely not like that. But I do know some people got through their whole lives searching for true love yet can not find it. I was browsing through questions yesterday on here and in someone's opinion so many people do not end up with their one true real love in life. How is that possible, how do you fall deeply in love with someone and be able to spend your life with someone else? Wouldn't it feel wrong?


I heard a man tell his story that his love from college, he still feels everything for her and has never felt what he has felt for her for anyone. never the same and no one makes him feel like she does. They did not end up together but he has a family and a wife.Can you go through your life like this?
Sometimes people just feel differently about each other. A man could be more emotionally involved then the woman, they break up, she moves on, he mourns his loss for the rest of his life or vise versa. However, people need to realize that it is all in your head. You were not born knowing the people you meet, its just human nature to want companionship. No one wants to be alone and we all carry the remains of our emotions even when we are no longer commited to that person. If a person dies, that we do not know, we feel saddened by the news but eventually forget about it. When it is someone we are close to we mourn and will remember them long after they are gone. It really just depends on how attached you become to a person, how long you will feel the emotional response when you think of them.Can you go through your life like this?

I found a love of my life by not even looking--just left it up to God and we were very happy til his fatal heart attack.


Now, I might have another but I'm not sure. Have to see how it plays out.
